The WALL-E Girl

Because I'm a big softie, I was utterly charmed by the story of Courtney/Eda Cherry, who posted this video of herself bursting into tears at the WALL-E trailer (I understand, girl, I understand, and then went to visit Pixar.

I especially love this story because it was just people at Pixar being nice and decent and warm and kind people, and not a story that Disney or Pixar jumped on for publicity for the movie.

It's a nice story, you should read it.

That is a touching story, SF. I am a sucker for random acts of kindness like this. I saw the film yesterday per your (and others) recommendation. Great stuff!

Glad you liked the movie and the story! Wasn't just the sweetest thing?

May be a while before I can see the movie, but I enjoyed the vid and the follow-up story. Contrary to my general griping and assumptions, it seems that some companies (like Pixar) can act with humanity. Frank Rich has a column today in the NYT I think you'd enjoy... it's called Wall-E for President

Wow, that's a great column. I did enjoy it, especially what he had to say about the changes in the Obama campaign. Thanks for sending that over, I appreciate it. I'm glad to have read it.
