U Is for Ugly

When I was being tormented by the other kids, they used to tell me how ugly I was. Nothing annoys a bully more than not having an effect on you, so when I would sing this song back at them, they were beautifully frustrated.

The Muppets have an answer for everything.

And yet, you're actually beautiful.

Well, you're one up on me. When I was in about 5th grade, I went through a really pudgy period. One day a boy I thought was my friend called me "Tubby!" and I've never forgotten it to this day! Thankfully, I outgrew that stage by the next year. And by the way, if that's your photo on the site, you're kinda cute! ;)

Aw, thanks. I'm still in my pudgy period!

I just went with "Go f*** yourself" as a response, probably because I didn't know this song.

(Oddly, one time I said that in front of a teacher who had heard the bully. I got in trouble. Because priorities.)

I agree with Roger. You are beautiful. When I taught and I heard anything hurtful from a student, I would tell them that what he/she had said was mean-spirited and asked what would Jesus say. Thankfully, I taught in a private school and could bring Him into any conversation.
I hope that you can now recognize your own loveliness.
