Meshach Taylor 1947-2014

Merits of Mannequin aside, I saw it a LOT when I was a kid, and Hollywood Montrose was a seminal childhood character. And I used to watch Designing Women, too. I remember that surprised my Grandma at one point. He was on my TV a lot as a kid, and I'm sorry to hear about Meshach Taylor passing away. Peace and blazing light, Meshach.

Never aw Mannequin. But watched DW religiously. (I think it was on after MASH?) Monday, 9:30 ET, CBS.

There are two seasons between the end of MASH and the start of Designing Women. I can't remember what it started after, but when Murphy Brown came on, it was on at 8 with DW at 8:30. (I'm in Central Time here.)

I think it was on after Newhart, originally?

Gosh, here I am all these years later, STILL watching CBS on Monday nights...

Ah, Murphy Brown. That makes more sense. I know I started one show, did not change the channel, and discovered DW.

At some point that night began with Evening Shade, which I really, really liked, too.
