Stuart Freeborn 1914-2013

BBC News is reporting the death of Stuart Freeborn at the age of 98. Freeborn is one of the architects of how I think about science fiction for his work designing makeup for 2001: A Space Odyssey and the Star Wars trilogy. He famously designed Yoda as a combination of his own face and Albert Einstein's. As the designer of Chewbacca, Yoda and Jabba the Hutt, I see his work every day of my life on my own walls. I'm glad he did that. Thank you.
