SamuraiFrog's Essential Christmas Songs #3. I don't know a lot of people who value this Beach Boys classic, but for me there's no Christmas without it. The Beach Boys were one of my earliest musical loves; I still remember when my sister and I would wake up and play my Dad's Beach Boys 8-track while he made us pancakes. I associate this with my Grandma Davis, too. Just a great, fun Christmas song.

I happen to like it, though I never heard it until at least the 1970s.
I grew up on the Beach Boys and saw them live in '64. (My first concert! I was 11) It is one of my guilty pleasures. "Guilty" because while catchy, it is not of the same level as Brian's compositions.
It doesn't beat Bing Crosby, but it isn't bad.
I found this blog through a Google Search, by the way, and landed on a post from 2007 where you rewrote Paul's biblical letters with a smartass tone. Very nice :)
