Meme of Giants

via Jaquandor

1. Tell us who the last person that you took a shower with.

Becca, but a really long time ago. We're kind of on or own showering scheds now.

2. Tell us about your favorite tee-shirt. Extra points if you show a pic. (We know. What can you do with freakin' extra points?)

My favorite tee shirt has Oscar the Grouch on it. I always get compliments on it when I wear it... it says "I wear this shirt when I'm a grouch."

3. Has anyone ever hit on you even though they knew you were taken?

Surprisingly, yes. And they still do. Which is weird, because I'm like Oscar the Grouch if he had a less pleasant personality.

4. Do you plan what to wear the next day?

No.

5. How are you feeling RIGHT now? Why?

Hungry. I've been up for three hours now and haven't eaten yet.

6. What's the closest thing to you that's black?

My glasses case. It's right here in front of the monitor (which is also black).

7. Tell me about an interesting dream you remember having.

My dreams have all been pretty X-rated lately... I had a dream last night, though, where I was trying to write with a quill, but my hand would start spasming. It was really disturbing, actually.

8. Did you or might you meet anybody new today?

I don't know. A friend of Becca's who I don't know has an art show tonight, so I guess I'll meet them.

9. If you could be doing anything right now (or perhaps after you finish this ridiculous meme) what would it be?

Eating. Seriously, I need some breakfast.

10. Can you think of a meme question that's never been asked?

I like Jaquandor's answer: "If you were going to be hit with a pie, what flavor would it be?" I think banana cream.

11. What comes to mind when I say China?

I think of the Tori Amos song "China." Weird.

12. Are you overly emotional?

Completely. Especially if I haven't had my meds yet.

13. If you could listen to just one rock album (CD, vinyl or mp3) which one would you pick?

Like, right now, or forever? Forever: Pet Sounds. Right now... I just listened to Led Zeppelin II and wouldn't mind hearing it again. I'm suddenly liking them more than I ever have.

14. Do you bite into your ice cream or just lick it?

Both.

15. Do you like your car?

No. I want a different car. Something that feels sturdier. At this point, I'm almost attracted to SUVs. I know, it makes me a terrible person or something, but with my anxiety, I'm tired of driving compacts that feel like they're about to fly apart. That Ford Focus I had as a rental after my accident was really nice, though.

16. Do you like yourself?

Sometimes.

17. Would you go out to eat with Charlie Sheen?

As long as he pays, I guess so.

18. What was the last song that you listened to?

"Because the Night" by Patti Smith. Someone had it on Tumblr and I fricking love that song.

19. Are (or were) your parents strict?

Yes and no. My Dad could be sometimes; his idea of stern parenthood, not always consistent, was stuck somewhere in the 1930s. It could have been worse, though, because his father used to straight up hit his kids, and my Dad only ever spanked me when I had been really bad. My Mom used to fly off the handle much more and get physical. And her idea of parental enforcement was pretty arbitrary. A lot of times she used to not care what was going on, but then she'd make these totally arbitrary decisions about what I was allowed to watch or something.

20. Have you ever wondered what attending a wild orgy (if only to watch or...) would be like?

Well, if you're going to go to an orgy, why would you just watch? I can't imagine they're really fun to look at. I mean, I wish they looked like something out of a Russ Meyer movie, but they probably just look like an episode of Real Sex... *shiver*

21. I say cottage cheese. You say:

Pass.

22. Have you ever met a celebrity?

At conventions, sure. I've talked about it before. I've talked to Cherie Currie and Colleen Brennan online, and they are two of the sweetest people in the universe.

23. What was the last movie that you watched at home?

Big Trouble in Little China.

24. Is there anything sparkly in the room you're in?

No. But Becca says that must be remedied.

25. What countries have you visited?

The only other country I've been in is Japan. (Guam is a US territory.)

26. Have you ever made a phone call while you were drunk that you've regretted? If yes, do tell.

No, but I don't get drunk. Alcohol is hard on my acid reflux and I don't like it. I've fired of emails when high, though, and that's a mistake.

27. Where were you going the last time that you were on a train?

Downtown Chicago. Fun ride, too. I like trains. That was on Halloween several years ago because I was invited to that critics' screening of Iraq in Fragments, which was very engrossing.

28. Bacon or sausage?

Bacon. I've never liked sausage. I used to piss off Becca by calling it "tubing and remnants."

29. How long have you had a cell-phone?

I've never had one.

30. What other memes do you do regularly?

I just grab them as they interest me. Or when I'm bored.

31. Who is the craziest meme host?

Me no know.

32. Who invented chop sticks?

Arthur de Lulli.

33. Who are you going to be with tonight?

Becca. I'm always with my Becca.

34. Are you too forgiving?

I certainly can be. Occasionally.

35. When was the last time that you were in love?

I'm always in love.

36. Tell us about your best friend.

Becca is my best friend. Your wife is supposed to be your best friend.

37. What was the stupidest thing you learned in high school?

I'm not sure, but I'm sure it has something to do with the general ugliness of human nature...

38. What was the last thing that you cried about?

I cried at the end of the most recent Game of Thrones episode.

39. What was the last question you asked?

"What do you want to do about food today?"

40. Favorite thing to do this time of the year?

I don't really know; it's been so rainy and cold this spring, almost unusually so, and it's terribly depressing.

41. If you had to get a (or another) tattoo, what would it be?

The number 42. Or the Superman symbol. I probably won't ever get any, but those are always my first two thoughts.

42. How would your best friend describe you?

Irritating? Immature? Not sure...

43. Have you ever seen all three Twilight films?

Yes, and they're all terrible, particularly the most recent.

44. Ever walked into a glass door?

No.

45. Favorite color on that person that you are attracted to?

Black. She wears a lot of black. I love her in green also, though.

46. Have you ever slapped someone?

Yes. Several people. Some deserved it but, sadly, not all.

47. What hair style (for you) would you like to see return?

I don't care.

48. What was the last CD you bought?

I can't remember the last one I bought. You know, libraries are a wonderful thing.

49. Do looks matter to you?

Not a lot.

50. Could you ever forgive a liar?

Depends on why they lied, I guess. If I can understand a lie, I can probably forgive. Not always, but I have.

51. What's the hardest bill to pay every month?

Since we're both unemployed, probably all of them.

52. Do you like your life right now?

I really do, actually. Jobs would be nice, but Becca's finally out of a job that gave her so much stress for so many years that she was actually breaking out in hives by the end. Right now we're comfortable and talking cutting things out to make us more comfortable. And we're making plans for future endeavors. I think getting laid off will actually be one of the best things to happen to Becca's art career, and I plan on putting things together so that she can actually focus on it.

53. Do you sleep with the TV on?

No, our TV is in the living room. Which is not to say there hasn't been napping from time to time.

54. Can you handle the truth?

I don't know. Depends on what is is...

55. Do you have good vision?

No. I'm going to need a new prescription when I can afford it. Lots of blurring far off, especially signs.

56. Do you hate or dislike more than 3 people?

Of course. Probably a lot more than that.

57. How often do you talk on the phone?

Almost never anymore. Just when one of my parents calls or I have to talk to a utility or something.

58. What celeb would you like to come home to?

Cherie Currie. Or Joan Jett. Or Cherie Currie. Or Kristen Bell. Or Cherie Currie.

59. What are you wearing?

Black sweatpants and an olive green tee shirt.

60. What is your favorite wild animal?

The African elephant.

61. Where was your Facebook picture taken?

In my living room on the old futon couch.

62. Can you waltz?

Not really. It's one of those things we learned in gym class a long time ago, so it was more like awkward box-stepping. I can't dance, which kind of sucks. I'd like to learn to dance.

63. Do you have a job?

Not currently.

64. What was the most recent thing you stole?

A young girl's heart. A-ha!

65. Have you ever crawled through a window?

Sure. I used to sneak out of the old townhouse when I was a kid. But I was too young to think of anything interesting to do. I'd just hop out of my bedroom window and walk up the street and back thinking I was doing something so forbidden. Hey, I was 11.
