Punky QB and the Fridge for Coke

With the Bears in the Superbowl again, these are the kinds of memories shooting back to me.

Whoa big fella, the Bear aren't in the Superbowl yet. They have to get through the NFC Championship game first.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. The local news here is all Bears-crazy, and I just think it's silly/funny. That's just me, I'm not a sports guy.

As a Pats fan, down to the bottom of my heart, I hated Jim McMahon with a white hot intensity. What a douche.

Superbowl XX was pretty much the only time I cared about football; it was just a media blitz, our team was in (and won), and I got into it. Even played football that year (my team was undefeated).

That said, even I hated Jim McMahon. What a joke. Overpaid to go into the game, get hurt in the first quarter, and then sit on the sidelines for the remainder--even in the Superbowl. And he was on commercials for frigging EVERYTHING.

I loved me some Refrigerator Perry, though. Still do. I still have the Fridge G.I. Joe figure.
