Happy 70th Birthday, Harvey Pekar

I've found solace and reflection and understanding in many of his works, and I thank him for it.

Loved American Splender. Read a few issues of his new comic that was out a few years back. It was ok but still respect the man!

Ever read any Evin Dorkin? he is gonna be at a comic convention I am going to this weekend. Hoping to met him.

Peace C

My favorite Pekar work especially is "The Quitter." I really relate.

I like Evan Dorkin, especially "Dork!" Did you ever catch the Eltingville pilot they did for Adult Swim a decade or so ago? Good stuff.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Pekar!

I actually ran into his wife Joyce Brabner years ago at Chicago Comix, while I was reading the latest issue of American Splendor.

His work really resonates with me as well.
