J Love Strikes Back

Jennifer Love Hewitt had this to say on her blog about people calling those bikini pictures fat:

This is the last time I will address this subject.

I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.

A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful.

What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.

To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini — put it on and stay strong.

Xoxo
JLH

Now, I did say that anyone who called her fat based on those pictures had a pathetically unrealistic idea of what women really look like. And I love her sentiments here. And I want to do all kinds of nasty, nasty things to her. But seriously...

Size 2?

We can be a little more honest than that as long as we're taking a stand, right?

My wife is size 2. JLH isn't a size 2. But only a shallow bastard or a gay dude wouldn't want to get funky with her.

Perhaps she was speaking to women in general about their body image rather than referring to her own when she brought up the size 2?

And yes, she looks fine, curves are nice, y'know?

TMZ admitted they did indeed go to far in this case on their TV show.

I'd hit that cellulite ass like a NASCAR driver plowing into the stands, baby. Mmmmm.

Randal: Absolutely.

Mob: She's just self-conscious because she got made fun of. She looks fine to me, too.

MC: That's funny, I hadn't heard that.

Chance: Hear, hear!

The word "And for that, we're sorry" were actually spoken in a non-sarcastic way.

I just had to grab this articlet from the IMDB because you had to see who has come out on JLH's side.

"Actresses Rosario Dawson and Anne Hathaway have pledged their support to Jennifer Love Hewitt after she hit out at the media for criticizing bikini photographs showing her in an unflattering light. Hewitt was snapped in her black two-piece swimsuit last month as she enjoyed a dip in the sea - but the Ghost Whisperer star's voluptuous bottom soon became the subject of ridicule on many celebrity blogs. The 28-year-old then posted a message on her own website saying she is content with her figure, but is unhappy that comments on her weight will put young girls under more pressure to diet. And Sin City star Dawson couldn't agree more, telling People.com, "They'll make a whole story about it if someone gains five pounds. I think there is a huge obsession with size-zero jeans, and it's just really scary. It makes me really nervous, because I don't know how in the world we're supposed to be that thin unless we're totally starving and drugging up." Hathaway adds, "I don't think women should only be defined by their bodies and their weight. It's a cycle we've been in for some time, and I don't really like it."

I'm a size 2. And my ass looks nothing like that.

Thank god.

MC: Wow. It's almost kind of heartwarming to see a bit of backlash against the gossip blogs and entertainment "media." Rosario and Annie know the score; but then, they're awesome.

AB: Too bad. That's a very tempting ass.
